A Natural Wonderland Like No Other

The Adršpach-Teplice Rocks are one of the most impressive natural attractions in Europe. Over millions of years, erosion has sculpted massive sandstone pillars, some reaching heights of over 100 meters. As you wander through narrow pathways and winding trails, you’ll encounter formations with names like “Lovers, ” “The Mayor and the Mayoress, ” and “Sugar Loaf, ” each with its own unique story.

The area is part of the larger Adršpach-Teplice Rocks, a protected nature reserve that showcases the raw beauty of geological processes. It’s a paradise for photographers, hikers, and anyone who appreciates dramatic landscapes.

Highlights You Shouldn’t Miss

One of the most iconic spots is the Adršpach Lake, where calm waters reflect the towering rock formations around it—perfect for a peaceful start to your visit. Located right at the entrance to Adršpach, the lake is known for its striking turquoise color, created by mineral-rich waters and the surrounding sandstone, making it an especially photogenic and inviting first impression of the area.

Many of the formations have been given imaginative names based on their shapes, adding a sense of mystery and storytelling to the landscape. Walking among them feels almost surreal, as if you’ve stepped into a natural stone city sculpted by time.

A short hike will take you to two stunning waterfalls hidden among the rocks—the Small Adršpach Waterfall and the Great Adršpach Waterfall—adding a refreshing touch to the rugged terrain.
